About Mrs. Van Roon

My name is Mrs. Lois Van Roon and I am the Learning Support Teacher at Lakeview School in Lethbridge, Alberta. I assist students, educational assistants, teachers, and families so that each child in our school feels supported and has a sense of belonging and purpose.

What do I do?

I work with students, teachers, and staff.

Sometimes I work in the classroom with students alongside teachers and educational assistants. Sometimes, we work outside of the classroom to work on literacy skills.

I work with teachers and local agencies to support

students.

I work in tandem with local agencies who support students during our school day and also in your home. Together we discuss goals with your child's teacher so that each child finds success.

I help students build strong literacy skills.

I also work with students who need extra support with English Language skills or modified programming so that they build strong literacy and communication skills as well as have adaptations to their learning as needed.
